I Live in a Pick-Up Truck

This was a nine month journey of self discovery. I left Portland in May 2009 and returned in February 2010. I used this travel as a tool to regain self-confidence and a good perspective on the world. It worked.

where is the heart?

and this i shall call home! quaint, i know. however, there will be a mattress and some personal effects to make it more "homey."

i will take regular photos of this vehicle, cataloging its changes and metamorphosis from a simple old pick up truck to a one-of-a-kind mobile home.

suggestions accepted.

preparing to live in a pick up truck

well. my life is changing. i am preparing to spend the summer living in my pick up truck. the summer and maybe more. who really knows! certainly not me. i will try to keep up with this account of my adventures or lack thereof, but i will not make any promises. soon I will post some pictures of my "rig" and my setup.

i think this is going to be a pretty sweet experience. i will constantly be looking for new and strange places to go, events to attend, festivals, gatherings, et cetera.

in a couple of days (waiting for that check to come in the mail...) i will set off heading south from portland, on I-5 and my intention will be to get out of Oregon as soon as possible. i dont want the temptation to turn back, once i go i need to be gone whatever may come. so, northern california: watch out you're first!
